Hello, my name is Terry DeFranco.    One of my hobbies is following the latest news on railroading, visiting tourist railroads and railroad attractions. I am the creator and author of www.scenicrailexcursions.com.

I created this blog to share news and information on scenic rail travel and preservation railroads  in the U.S. and Canada.

I’ll be following the world of  Tourist Trains, as well as  the latest information on Scenic Excursion Train rides, special railroading events,  special trains and news on the latest happenings in the world of Preservation Railroads.  I will also be posting videos about tourist trains in the news.

I will also be reporting on the next generation of American High Speed passenger railroading as it begins to grow and incorporate new technologies along the way.

I  like to  emphasis the legacy of the steam railroad and its place in our history and the development of American railroads and the importance of preserving that history today.
